I watched the press conference and it didn't sound to me like he said anything beyond he will be the coach today. I still think he may be gone.

I stand corrected, I just saw the interview where the hat said he will be the coach at LSU next year. He is not going anywhere. Saban stays at BAMA. LSU is the only job Saban would have left BAMA for.

Where did he say he wasn't leaving? Nothing in that press conference address the future.
I posted before the ANYONE reported... that there was going to be a press conference declaring that he was staying.
It was planned for Miles to declare on Tuesday that he's leaving for Michigan. After in all likelihood someone from Michigan tipping off Herbstreit, a firestorm went off and backed Miles into a corner. He had to make a strong stand to keep his team focus and keep the circus from getting out of control.
When Miles goes to Michigan, you can eat crow.

Gotta be fair here.
Most of the people listed above assumed Miles was going and the next coach would be "X". We will never know how close they were now.
Hell, almost everyone assumed Miles was leaving.
