Wasn’t signed contract and wasn’t close to $1.8 MM per annum. Just wondering how that started.

Never said it was signed but it was agreed in principle. And it was a little under 1.5 escalating to 1.8 over the years. The MOA was just a disguise and it's why the release said 1million plus.

Doesn't matter the moa was just to quite the rumors to concentrate on the game. It was obvious. They would have liked for him to stay thru end of recruiting but knew it wouldn't happen.

Your wrong about the money! Yes they were. The Panthers are paying him $2.5MM. Typical Texas fan thinking LSU cant pay what we need to. It came down to him really wanting be in the NFL and an owner that would over pay for his service. Guy already over paid for his head coach $40MM more than what the Giants, the job Rhule really wanted, were willing to give him.

Hearing that as late as Monday, LSU was convinced Joe Brady was returning after getting new deal, even though it allowed him an NFL out. LSU was getting assurances Brady was staying in Baton Rouge.

i knew as soon as i saw the nfl out he was gone.

Haha some good spin, LSU knew for a fact he was leaving.

Plus Brady got an unheard of contract, he gets full control of hiring offensive personal.

It happens. Worth the ship!!!

wasn't just the NFL, an owner that didn't care about over paying a guy with still a pretty thin resume played a factor too

of course it was worth it. and i'm not letting it bother me. LSU just produced the greatest season of all time. i'm fine with munoz if that's the play.

Shelvin's brother on 247 said he's coming back. So at least there's that. Having Shelvin, Ika, and Guillory in the middle (maybe Jackson) would be insane.

He is a big one. Stevens and Queen could go either way. The O Line guys other than Cush could also go either way and will have a big impact.

CEH, Jefferson, Philips, Delpit, Cush and Moss just seem like no brainers to me.

i don't know why they'd come back, even though it's very true that our juniors staying last year (like Lawrence) really meant a lot for us this year. the problem is that we also have the evidence now that lawrence likely didn't help himself any by staying

No one other than a running back is really helping themselves if they go 4th round or below. I just hope the guys who are on that part of the fence get good advice.

I remember many posters writing that Brady had signed a $1.8 million per year contract several weeks ago.

The rumor at that time was that he had it and it was agreed on, but not signed. Seems to fit what we know now.

Would be surprised if Joseph came back, have no idea who the replacement would be here, but I would expect to start hearing names later today thru the weekend if these changes are going to happen before signing day.

Isn’t Adam Henry looking for a job?

Our Dline will be deep again next year but with really good freshman studs.

Shelvin, Logan, Deculus, Vincent or Stephens, Phillips or Queen

Will be most likely returning and I have to imagine the fan base should be happy with that outcome.

Yes but he might still need to get more years for NFL pension, not sure. But also not sure if he is the innovative mind we are going to want.

I wouldn't be surprised if offense look like this

E- OC/TE
Line- same
Frank- RB
Munoz-QB coach possibly passing coord.
Wr- someone new that is an up and coming talent. Possible passing coord. This might end up being Brady's buddy.

What is funny to me is how people think Joe Brady is the smartest offensive mind in football. I would have loved to see how brilliant he was if/when he didn't have #9 making NFL throws and decisions on every down.

I think Joe Brady is a great offensive mind and I understand him wanting to go back the NFL, that I do not have a problem BUT I do not think he is irreplaceable.

I do think Joe Burrow made him a rich man!!!

Not sure how anyone could blame Brady. Strike while you're hot.

No way they can replicate what they did this year so it's only down from here.

Plus, frick recruiting. I can think of nothing I would hate more in life than having to kiss the arse of stupid, entitled teenagers with overinflated senses of self worth and ego. Sounds like hell having to deal with mini divas every day

Didn't realize Sonny or Shea said the MOA was a smoke screen or O was told before hand......oh wait they didn't.

Some of the info on leaving, yea I read that, the rest came from else where.

I don't share their info from there as I pay for that.

Nice try being a smart arse too. And if that info has been posted now...we'll check the time stamps, arse.

I think Bradford starts at one of the guard spots next year

Losing Mickey would suck also. The players love him
