The last 2 coaches won a NC within 3 years. Let's hold off anointing Kelly until he at least wins one.

Except you have nothing but internet rumors that all this is being based off of.

Nobody knows a damn thing about what’s really going on inside LSU right now. I do find it hard to believe that a coach who has never had an issue with hiring and keeping coaches all of a sudden has a problem with it.

Calling this a “shite show” is absolutely panicking.

None of us know of any coach that has flatly declined to be an assistant coach at LSU, outside of Freeman and Rees who stayed at ND for obvious reasons.

I’m neither panicking nor being Baghdad Bob. I’d prefer to let it play out. There’s no hard deadline for any coach to accept the job.

Not impressive at a school that should have had 5 or 6 within those years based off the amount of talent available to them. I’d say they highly underachieved.

Napier will be fired in 4 years at best.

I'm not saying Kelly isn't a huge upgrade over Orgeron. He is.

But, Orgeron put together a really good class in the transition year. He identified the class as his #1 priority, and threw every ounce of resources and effort towards it.

Kelly didn't come into this hire with a plan in place and, as a result, is having problems finding the right guys willing to take the job. He hasn't salvaged this class. Honestly, it won't surprise me if this takes a couple more weeks.

Did it ever occur to you guys that maybe these guys no longer have very good sources for information?

They never did. They “knew a guy who knew a guy” at best.

This is getting embarrassing. He literally took the time to come here and check it out and said no.
Coach Kelly was doing the interview. Odds are better that he said "thanks for coming" before White had a chance to say "thanks for having me down". O is gone. HOF Coach in. With our recruiting base and brand---and paying more than anyone else (to coaches anyway)---a guy would have to be stupid not to listen at least once. And if he can make it work to his advantage money wise in a place he's currently happy, I say have at it. Coach K will get his guy. I'm partial to Derek Mason FWIW.

And they were fired as a result. Looking forward to Kelly getting one in next 3 years.

90 million, at least, guaranteed as well…10.5 million a year if he finishes the season and makes a bowl…Scott is about to find himself out on his arse if this doesn’t pan out.

You never once complained about anyone not wanting to work with O but yet you are here You never mentioned O's salary and how he underachieved the last two years how come? I thought woodward was gonna fail in the search and stoops would be coaching, what happened?

I think you're making big assumptions here. I believe Kelly had a plan in place and he is currently going through his list of candidates for each coordinator position. It sucks that we likely missed on our first two guys but I don't think that is any indication Kelly had no plan prior to being hired. Sometimes coaches that are targeted don't come for various reasons. I still think we end up with great coordinators it's just taking longer than us, the fans, want.

He failed big time at many levels in recruiting. (Which is really sad considering he is from Louisiana and recruiting was supposed to be his thing)

Again you are basing this off pure internet rumors. You have zero clue what’s actually going on inside the program.

If he doesn’t, he should be. If Ed Orgeron can do it, hell even that clown show Napier could do it at LSU.

Orgeron mostly failed at recruiting coordinators, but he did not fail at recruiting talented players.

False. We lost more in state talent t under Orgeron than we did under Miles or Saban. Saban came in and took who he wanted from Louisiana while Orgeron was in charge.

Pointing to the fact that Kelly has had little success recruiting coaches/players to this point

This is only a fact in your head. You honestly have no idea what success or failures he's had so far.
