While recruiting may not be as strong as we'd like. He's made two lower starred LB into 1st round picks with Josh Allen and Jamin Davis. Allen had a career year with 17 sacks the first year white got there. I think he'd be good for us because players like Phillip Webb could really be something special for us.

Hope he keeps our current lb coach

Unless Baker takes the DC offer he just may.

We’re seriously worried about recruiting because he hasn’t pulled a ton of 5 stars to UK in 3 years?? Give me a break.

His recruiting is pretty dang good. Any other argument is false.
I don’t judge a coach by how well he recruits at a major program. It’s how well do you recruit where you are.. he has started to get top 200 linebackers to commit.
Pete Golding recruits for Bama. That’s fish in a barrel.

I agree, but I also think once you establish yourself as a great recruiter, regardless of circumstance (Bama), it kind of sticks with you. Perhaps a guy like White earns it more by having to recruit at a place like Kentucky. I don't know either well enough as recruiters to say for sure.

not saying it's poor. maybe not as strong as his development is let me say it that way. Bama recruits itself im sure golding doesnt have to work as hard. I'm more impressed with white putting 2 olb who weren't the highest recruited players into first round.

How are you going to say White can’t recruit well? It’s very hard to recruit guys to Kentucky. You have Alabama, Georgia, and LSU going against them.

Jon Sumrall took the HC position at Troy.
I’d imagine if we keep Baker. I think with Baker and White, we have two of the best coaches/recruiters in the country at that position.

It's one of the reasons that Rammer Jammer is consistently good. Saban only hires assistant coaches that can coach.

I want to get back to OC/DC as A+ coaches and the position coaches be the recruiters. Kelly can be a mix of both but more so a high end offensive mind.

Did he coach jamin davis?
Thought he was the olb coach. Still think he is a great technical coach.

I thought jamin was recruited as olb? I could be wrong. But I agree he is great coach.

Good post
The same people that want to hire based on recruiting ability also bitch about lack of player development
