if I were a college football scout/expert I'd like to think I'd know a guy's specialty who's been a staple at the school for a long time now.

poor effort by trying to shite on boston's accent. If you going to type it its "bawston."

and you have to factor in the surrounding schools shite on BC. (see BU,Holy Cross,Northeastern, umass, uconn.) often Kids get rejected and go else where in mass or surrounding new england schools. Bill Simmons to this day still holds a grudge at BC for rejecting him.

The reality is that it was a meaningless public relations move. I am 100% certain he will not be coaching BC in 2015 due to his age. BC had been a competitive school for the last ten years in BOTH football/basketball. How many schools can say that with academics prestige looming over??

oh and BC's alum base has a bigger basketball/hockey fan base than football. Always will, and Steve Donahue has sparked a lot of interest around campus.

Why? They have never really been that good outside of 1 year with Flutie and 1 year with Ryan. They weren't even great those years.

A school that hasnt gotten over the hump. Last losing season was '98. How many schools can say that?

oh and in basketball..

the Eagles recorded a 200-90 record, including seven 20-win seasons and just one losing season. The Eagles also made seven NCAA tournament appearances. One Sweet sixteen appearance.

Ok and this disproves my point how? Is 7-9 wins and a .500 conference record that good? They have been an ok program that has never really been that good.

Regardless, nothing in their past indicates that they should be one of the premier schools in the Northeast.

I think they should be one of the better schools in the N East. But their AD BLOWS.
You have a decent head coach (O'Brien) leave- after 10 years- to go to NC State -w/ the same pay-(maybe the AD was the reason?)
Then you fire a decent coach (former LSU guy-Jagodzinski) because he expressed interest in an NFL job.
Now you have a coach who is running the program into the ground, but he wants to stay so you give him an extension?
Yes their hockey is great- football should be good- but its going into the pisser w/ the Spaz as a coach.

2007 Atlantic Coast Conference 11-3 6-2
2008 Atlantic Coast Conference 9-5 5-3
2009 Atlantic Coast Conference 8-5 5-3
2010 Atlantic Coast Conference 7-5 4-4

doesnt look bad- but in 07- they were #2 in BCS at week 9?

now in 2010- Theie best win was vs Clemson- they lost 5 in a row, and w/out their wins vs Weber St and Kent St- they would be looking at a losing season
People here were so worried the Miles was the next Archer- looks like BC found him.
