Saban and Spurrier are the two that I would be most happy with, however, assuming we don't get either one of them, I'd have to go with Chris Peterson as my second-tier favorite.

Guy seems like a great coach, great motivator, and a class act.

I think we all need to prepare ourselves in case it is not Saban or Spurrier. If you put all of your hopes in those two names, you're only going to be disappointed with the the hire if it is not one of those two, and history tends to lead me to believe that the early favorite hardly ever gets the job anywhere.

Have you accepted that Miles and Pelini are gone?

I think Miles is likelu gone if he is offered. However it is not clear to me that has been settled.

Pelini if he does get another job of course will be left for the next Coach who ever that is.

Songy did make some good points why Peterson might not be a good fit here at LSU.

He said we need someone who is at least somewhat familiar with and has some contacts in this region, which Peterson does not have.

In Miles' case, he recruited Texas heavily while at OSU, so that was an easy transition.

Maybe I'm too easily persuaded, but in the span of 30 minutes, I'm taking Peterson off of my "favorites" list, lol.
