Does he not get any consideration for the OC? I'm not saying I want him as OC cause I don't. Just simply curious as to how he was brought in and the fact I haven't seen his name mentioned.

He shouldn't even get consideration to return as WR coach, IMO.

Dropped balls is not caoching.That is the wrs not focusing.The wrs run solid routes and block very well.They also attempt to catch with their hands.All that is coaching.The wrs improved this year in my eyes.Gonzales isn't leaving unless he wants to.Recruiting.

how much actual practice time coaching is done by the coaching staff vs the grad assistants? I know the coaching staff has to go out and recruit and scout and all that mess. How often to they miss practice and have one of the GAs run their drills for them?
I could see this being the case fairly often with WR, RB, and TE coaches (where, coincidentally, usually happena to be where they stick recruiters who aren't really known for their coaching ability).

i doubt hardly ever. I've never heard of so and so coach not being at practice today like its Turtle Thomas skipping a midweek game. They probably make their calls before and after practice since the HSers are practicing at the same time anyway and then there are all the dead periods for visiting.

i wouldnt mind giving gonzo a shot at OC. if what they say is true that he was the real mastermind behind the UF offense

I know it's not uncommon in Baseball, that's why I was wondering if the same happened in football. I guess the dead periods leave them with more time on campus since the only guys that can off campus recruit are the coaches themselves.
