Head Coach at Jacksonville State. Former HC at Prattville High when they were kicking everyone's arse. Damn fine football coach.

would suck for jax state. i'm sure uab could pay more, but that place is a coaching graveyard... at least at JSU, you can win games and championships.

JSU should hire Josh Nesbitt if Clark skips town.

I think they have plans to build a new field house soon. They do have a brand new weight room.

It's whoever the Bama board will allow, they will ensure UAB never becomes a player at the expense of Bama. Why they blocked the Jimbo Fisher hire and deny a qualified candidate a head coaching job is baffling.

UAB will never be a threat to the Capstone.

Clark has def been on their radar in the past. He was offered an off the field position by Saban several years ago then got the USA DC job.

He turned Saban down before the USA job was available. I love Bill, but I do not want him to go to UAB. He deserves better.

I'd rather him get a DC job somewhere than go to UAB.

I would love to see Saban offer him an on-field coaching position. Clark is a great defensive coach. I haven't seen many of his games at JSU or USA, but his defenses at Prattville were nasty.

Wonder who Jax State will go after?

I know Will Hall was in the final 3 last time, but just took the HC job at West Georgia.

That's where FCS coaches get their shots: C-USA programs.

I'm ok with that. I just think UAB would be a bad move. Basically pick any other C-USA team and I would love it.

He has denied that they've contacted him per Anniston Times.

I hope this is incorrect, or that he will turn it down if offered. Bill has deep roots in Calhoun County and took JSU to the third round of the playoffs in his first year as coach. This was unprecedented. Hope he stays.
