He's said publicly that it was a mistake to leave LSU in the first place, and that he loved it here and his wife loved it here. He said this the week of the Bama game.
That's how dumb rumors get started. I cant believe people actually bite on this.

i think sexton putting out feelers and a lot of big money boosters still worshiping saban is more to blame
now is the sexton stuff legit? who knows. he did the same wtih tubby just to angle for a better deal
sexton may just be trying to get goodwill for the NEXT coaching search when it is easier for nick to come back. he could be playing the boosters

I'm not sure you understand the level of some of these guys. We are not taking about heart surgeons in Shreveport and attorneys in Houma.

I know what you are talking about. They have a lot of money, but when it comes to making a decision I doubt they have little say. Maybe an opinion, but it probably ends at that.
