Compare and contrast ULL's schedule compared to OU

Ok.
Iowa State beat Oklahoma. Then Oklahoma came back in the championship and beat Iowa State by 7.
Cajuns went to ames iowa, and spanked em like a stepchild

No matter how much the haters try to make that sound less impressive, they can't do it.

Well that's just silly.

Level of competition matters.

Otherwise, we'd be considering some HS coach who has been undefeated for several years somewhere.

There's nothing wrong with liking Napier but being irrational about it isn't very compelling.

Well if your going to consider their scedules, than you have to also consider that they arent playing with equal talent, resources, etc.

And again. If that's your logic, then the best candidates out there are HS coaches who in some cases, have dominated for more than a decade. Excluding old dudes.......

Justin Alumbaugh of DeLa Salle has a .915 winning percentage in the last 7 years.

Troy McAllister in Chicago took a team 10 years ago that had 12 players and has become the 1st coach from that area to win a state title(he's won 2 going undefeated)

John Roderique in Missouri has 11 fricking titles in 23 years and the dude isn't very old either. .916 winning percentage

Gary Joseph Katy Texas. Fastest coach in Texas history to 200 wins. Fastest IN TEXAS HISOTRY! Wins a State Title every 4 years.

I mean. You know. If we are gonna go with the whole levels don't matter argument.......

All of those guys are great High School coaches and would succeed at any High School level cause they are good coaches.

But high School coaches don't recruit, don't have to oversee large staffs, and are often very limited on who they can actually bring in as hires. They are also not schooled in NCAA regulations and bylaws. The levels you are talkin about are two totally different things

Oh. OK. So there are factors beyond record that makes the jobs different. Got it.

I rest my case. The same applies between ULL and LSU. The list of differences may not be the same. But, they are just as important.

So the Cajuns greatest accomplishments are never winning the terrible sun belt ever and winning the lending tree bowl?

I suppose I get what you are trying saying, but in what world do you think high level high school coaches don't recruit? Hell they just handle their business like the REC...very quietly. I can PROMISE you, the Big Red of Katy HS (or any other nationally competitive HS) isn't simply working with the talent that was born in their district.

But what was their difficulty factor when measuring opponents played?

Yep all 3 years Napier has been at ULL

Alabama >>>>>National & SEC Champions

Well, 2 of those 3 years. They didn't even make the Championship game in 2019. SO I guess 3rd place in the SEC in 2019?

This is dumb.

A guy winning in the Sun Belt isn’t doing what Nick Saban, Dabo or Riley is doing.

Could he be just as good if a coach? Certainly, but achievement wise it’s not the same.

ULL’s schedule

A week ago it was ranked 112.

Comparing those three team winning record to that of ULL is like comparing a high school team winning 19 in a row to Bama‘s 19 straight wins

Over the last couple years only Oklahoma , Ohio State ,and Alabama have had a better run than the Cajuns.
Coastal Carolina has lost 1 game in that time frame.
