I’d be willing to bet it’s not about money, as much as years/guarantees. 1 more Bo like disaster and overlapping buyouts and there’s an issue. I could see us going after another Aranda type on a two year deal that doubles their current salary, but doesn’t put us in another 5 million hole.
With Aranda and Canada we saw both sides, were able to extend Aranda after seeing his product, and Dropping Canada cost us only about 1.5 afte the fact.

I call b.s. on the limited budget. That being said, I don't think we need to pay over 2 million a year to get an excellent up and coming DC. With our background and young talent, LSU should be highly desirable destination for most!

we need the best staff we can get with or without CEO in place
if he clears the Title IX stuff then we know he is as good as his staff

I think it’s highly unlikely that O is caught up in the title ix stuff at this point. I would be most of the leg work is done on the case and now it’s holidays and review of the report as written until the final version in feb

if it truly is an “independent investigation”, then LSU wouldn’t have even the slightest clue as to their findings yet either.
