My point is, they can only block him for a week. If he wants to speak to the bears and they want to speak to him, he just has to wait a week. It’s not like it’s completely shut down

Obviously the cowboys are trying to bid more time to resign him and erode his leverage assuming jobs will be filled by then.

Or maybe they are finishing up the end of season interviews & evaluations before making a decision to see if the FO & McCarthy are all on the same page in terms of moving forward.

i don't think any coach with mccarthy's leverage is on the same page as the cowboys front office.
