I'm in no way jumping on the rumor bandwagon or claiming to have any "inside information" about Saban's intentions.
HOWEVER, I just read this on the Bama board, and I think it's hilarious:
Coming back to LSU or not, there's no way that Saban couldn't "stand to be anywhere else" other than Bama. They really are delusional over there in Tuscaloosa.

Because all college coaches want to be at a school where they worship a coach who has been dead 25+ years - not just in name but in dress and in body art.
All coaches want to be at a school where fans call the assistants at night questioning calls after a loss or throw bricks and stick For Sale signs in the coach's yard.
Saban may stay at Bama for a few years, but it isn't because that is where he neccesarily wants to be, it is where he got himself stuck.

saban is stuck in tuscaloosa, he hates it but its as close to BR he could get without getting out of the business. if we offer him 3mil or more hes ours

Would it not be just freakin' hilarious to watch the meltdown over in T-Town if their supposed savior used them as a stepping stone to get back to BR?
It would almost be worth the hassle of having Saban back in BR!
