His buyout is $800,000 if he leaves Missouri after December 21st. If I'm reading his contract correctly

He just signed an extension. His buyout is the entirety of his contract unless he leaves for a HC job or the NFL

Incorrect.
There’s a big difference in firing without cause university buyouts and leaving for another job individual buyouts.
Trust me, we’re experts at LSU on this.
