I thought i remember reading at one point or maybe im thinking of someone else that Austin was a big part of setting up and organizing the football camps at LSU and the scouting and identifying potential talent at said camps. Then organizing and making sure player recruiting visits to campus ran smoothly.

I still remember the days when posters swore the NCAA would give us a permanent waiver so AT could recruit instead of one of our coaches. 
Dude made bank b/c O hired a geriatric DL coach who couldn't physically recruit and the NCAA allowed AT to recruit in his place one cycle. That's the only thing of worth AT ever did for LSU and he got "God" status from the fanbase b/c of that and one article making him seem like the engine of some new philosophy of this guy:
