This was a decent hire. It might even be a great hire...only time will tell.
This what the Razorbacks get:
A coach who has coached at a high level in a competitive conference.
A coach who has always stressed defense and the product on the field shows it.
A coach who has had to "coach up" players because he was playing 3rd and 4th fiddle to Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State (before the mess), and Michigan State. Considering there isn't as much talent in the North as the South, he did well with what he had.
A coach who has brought this team to BCS games.
Those of you laughing would laugh if they had hired anyone...this guy is far from being a 3rd or 4th tier coach.
Congrats to Arkansas. You did the SEC proud by stealing a top flight coach from a major school in the Little 14 (or 16, or whatever the hell they are today).

BB is a lot like Les. Arkie fans that hate Les, get used to 3 yards and a cloud of dust. After a few years, you will be in almost every game. You will play sound defense, your offense will be boring, and you will win 8-10 games per year. This guy will NOT lose. He may not win championships, but he will have some good seasons. Sounds a lot like Houston Nutt at Arkansas.
Petrino never had great recruiting classes. Arkansas doesn't have the recruiting base, but they need to start pounding east Texas over to Dallas.

Yeah whatever. It's not his job to stop his offense. And most of the time it was probably done with bench players. I don't even give a shite when teams do that against the Hogs, why would I care if our guy did it?
