My source tells me Woodward has sent out feelers to Belichick’s camp.

Any good NFL Coach worth going after won’t be available until late January or even February due to the playoffs.

Woodward has never gone to the pro ranks for his hires, so it is not likely he goes that route on the biggest hire of his career. Also, it could be argued that the coaching dynamic is completely different and doesn't carry over as well as one would think.

My source says that Woodward is reaching out coaches all over the country with an emphasis on finding the best coach for LSU.

The OP could be referring to prior college coaches currently in the NFL, such as Urban Meyer. It probably won't be Urban Meyer, but if a proper search is being done, SW would surely have at least kicked the tires on that car. How do you not at least take a look at a coach that's won three total national championships and beaten Nick Saban head to head multiple times at two different schools? It probably won't be him, but you have to at least look, or you can't claim a thorough search was done.

If Tate wants an AA go get Mike Tomlin; no one will mind that.
