I could see Aranda giving CSU more time of day. That’s a decent job. Just because he isn’t going to UNLV doesn’t mean he’s done testing the waters.

He’s most definitely throwing his name out. But he’s done until after bowl season now.

Why is he not in any pictures with recruits this week? Zero pics of him out there.
I think he is gone. Which is okay, we will be okay. I just want it to be after recruiting and after playoffs. No distractions. Finish what he started. See it to the end. Then go do what you want.

If he leaves, he goes to Texas or the NFL IMHO

Why would he? That staff will all be fired if they don’t win in 2020

1. Go to Texas
2. Get in tight with AD
3. Herman gets fired
4. Become the next Texas coach to fool them into believing they're back.
5. Get huge buyout in 4 years when they realize they're not back.

Seems foolproof.

I guess anything is possible, but given where he is in his coaching career (about ready to pick and choose a HC opportunity somewhere), a move to Texas seems like a small step backwards. Texas DC is high risk high reward, probably more risk at the moment given Herman status. Seems if he was staying as a DC, and not taking a HC position this year, LSU would be the place to stay, and parlay a playoff birth or national title and the publicity that comes with it into a high profile HC gig next year.

Personally, I think he’s headed to the NFL, but that’s just my opinion and a guess.

If Texas is where he ends up, so be it, but that move for Aranda doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.

Don’t want to lose Aranda, but if it happens it happens and I have no doubt LSU will find an excellent DC.
