Any chance Kubiak gets fired if Pats blow them out?

I think he'd be a damn fool not to haul arse to Houston if the job were open. He'd be sick with their talent and franchise future.

no chance in hell!

Not mcnairs style. he kept him for 4 years as a below average coach. sure won't fire him after 12 and 4.

Living here, I'm a fan of the texans. They have a good team but, to me, Shaub is holding them back more than anything. They remind me of the broncos minus manning at this point. Earlier in the season I thought Shaub was good enough. They've taken a step back this back half of the season and it falls squarely on him.

Agree with all of this. No doubt we take a qb with a late round draft pick. TJ is a gamer but not a franchise qb. Our future at qb will be interesting if Schaub shits the bed in another big time game this weekend

I wish you would be right, but Shaub isn't going anywhere. TJ is not the answer either, although a decent QB, but is a Shaub like player quality wise

To me Shaub is the QB version on Kubiak as a coach. Both good but are at their ceiling.

schaub is a less glamorous version of tony romo. he will put up great stats and play well unless it is a big game or the end of a game.

Because we have no better option

I think Kubiak is a good coach, the players respect him and we don't have attrition issues...for the most part

Such a Houston Texans fan response. I cant stand people always complaining about Schaub. The typical Texas person who watches football always believes every winning team has to have this frickin cliche wonder boy QB, but its not reality. What also isn't reality is blaming or crediting 1 single player for an entire season of failure or success. So many pieces have to be in place to win a Super Bowl. Its such an easy cop-out to blame Schaub, but he's been a well above average QB his entire time as a Texan.

How many offense weapons have the Texans drafted for him? How many free agent signings on offense since Schaub took over?

Its hard to win in the NFL and many things can shake loose or fall slightly short in crunch time like the playoffs where every team is well oiled and coached typically.

Except that Bill is only 60, same as Saban. I do not forsee early retirement in his future.

I agree with tiggerthetooth. Schaub is a pro bowl QB and led the league in passing yards not too long ago. 20-7 his last 27 starts. Pretty damn solid if you ask me.
