He's taking the challenge of coaching in the SEC heads on and the guy is simply a proven winner and a Top 5 coach in all of college football.

He could be here 10+ years (reminder that Saban is 70) and set the program up for the next 2 decades by grooming another coach in house to transition to. He is highly respected, a great X's and O's guy, and will build sustainable success.

I fully expect Kelly to win a National Championship or two during his tenure when you look at his history of success. Just imagine what he can do with LSU's resources and the level of talent in this area. This is an absolute grand slam of a hire.

Wait! Did you say X’s and o’s, as in, a coach and staff that can make second half adjustments and solid clock management? I’m good with that!

Think Kelly would come here if he wasn’t getting overpaid? Nobody was knocking on his door for a reason. You don’t think he’d be on the first flight to USC if they were dumb enough to pay him $10 million a year?

Shush...they don't get it yet. You cannot reason with their enthusiasm for safe spaces.

USC

To be honest, they probably did not offer him because they thought he would never leave.
