Most people thought it was Riley based on information from this board. The insiders and their previous sources likely don't have accurate information anymore with the new administration. You can't fault people for thinking he was coming with all the smoke around it. When he didn't deny it flat before the game, I'll admit I thought he was coming as well, but there are other signs if you look back on it that he never was. I believe Woodward allowed those rumors to continue purposely. He didn't even have to try to hide what he was doing because everyone in the fricking country was focused on Riley.
