Those people are morons, but how can you criticize them when it appears that the administration isn't even making an effort to get him?

my thought would be that if the admin isn't going after him its because they want someone with a little longer track record

i think herman is a great coach and would do well here, but, playing devil's advocate, he didn't exactly take over a program with a bare cupboard, qb and most skill positions were loaded when he got there. he has recruited well, but there certainly isn't much sample size to go off of. i would guess that the admin thinks that jimbo is a safer pick. thats the only reason i could think of why herman wouldn't be option one
