Over the last 10 years the SEC has had a coaching carousel. Maybe it’s my rose color glasses but I think this hire is going to slingshot LSU

We won’t be Tennessee or Auburn or USC. We will nail this hire

Les Miles and Ed Ogeron won titles w/ LSU.

Woodward could probably have a list of his top 30 coaches, just throw a dart at a name and LSU would win another natty.

OP probably overstated it. He should have said, “All of college football has an eye on LSU right now.”

And yes, that is a true statement.

And for anyone who think the Riley talk is stupid (I'm looking at you, Fletcher Mackel), I'm sure Lincoln is very aware of this fact.

Outside of teams that have coaches being mentioned I highly doubt it

I guarantee you the rest of the SEC, primarily the actual contenders, are watching who LSU brings in. We've had morons for the past 16+ years. If Woody knocks it out of the park with this hire, it gets a lot harder for everyone else, on the field and with recruiting.

I think everyone is watching because it will reset the pay scale for coaches. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Woody offer in the 15 million range.

I respectfully think you’re wrong. If UGA, or Ohio State, or Texas, or Florida had a vacant head coaching position, every college football fan would know it and would be watching to see who they hired.

I don't think fan bases in the PAC 12 care...maybe in December they will
