Why are you against private citizens spending their own money how they see fit? None of what you just mentioned has anything to do with the buyout, since it was coming straight out of some guys trust fund.

Well that is a great image builder for LSU. Come here for college. We have endless private donors for our athletic program, but good luck on getting the state to spend any money on the actual school or university. Unfortunately, neither one can exist without the other.

The TAF can do whatever the frick they want.
Then why don't they just go out and spend some of those millions paying players? A good QB shouldn't cost anywhere close to $15 million.

It is the LSU football team, not the Tiger Athletic Foundation football team. Please go check the bylaws of the Tiger Athletic Foundation to see what they are permitted to do. They cannot do anything with their money that is not approved by LSU. And Alexander is the ultimate decision maker for LSU.

you're being silly and comparing apples to oranges. You know exactly what my point was.

Yes, yes they can. It is called DEFUNDING. Let the chancellor raise his own money or cry to the state to make up for the 8 million he gets from private money. He's already crying like a pussy as it is.TAF can tell him to get fricked and take their money elsewhere. Let that bitch crash and burn and see how long he lasts. The decision maker in charge should be about what the athletic people want when that is the subject and their money, not politics or the academic side.

Still don't understand allevas or the boosters strategy in making the leaks to rabalais. How did they think that would help?

The only thing I can figure was they thought there would be massive media, fan and political support for their cause. Just the opposite happened.

Dumbass......a successful football program is the best advertisement a university can get. Alabama has reaped hundreds of millions of dollars in out of state tuition/donations because of Saban. If you build it they will come.

The fans were behind him. Even the Miles Fan Club on this site were all agreeing that "it's time for a change".
