Thus will be the reason why Airline will continue to suck and not be relevant. The demands he had were things that would allow Airline to play with the West Monroe's of the world and build a championship caliber program. He is far and away the best person they could hire and it's their loss.

Coach Meeks, the Head Coach at Calvary Baptist, applied for the OC job at Airline last season?

I find that really hard to believe! Even harder to believe is that he wouldn't have gotten the OC job if he really applied.

I have heard conflicting reports as to whether or not Bo was actually fired. I've coached with Bo before. He is a class act.

He would be great at Airline!

Like I said, my dad is real good friends with Coach Greene, like known each other their whole lives good, that's just what he and the AD at Airline (my dad is also good friends with him) said. They told my dad that somebody with a lot of money and power at Calvary had a lot to do with him getting fired, that's just the word, though.

You are the man! Baton Rouge info, Watched a lot of Walker games this year. and coached with Meeks. You are all over the place. Your like a coaching super hero or something. Kind of reminds me of that movie Multiplicity; There must be more than one of you, because you do it all. Awesome!

The demands Bachman made were; both sons get a job with him (which probably could be done), and he wanted none of the three of them to teach any classes...good luck with that, this is public school, Mr. Bachman

How many classes does Mr. Shows and his top two assistants teach at WMHS?

If you want to compete at the highest level you need to be able to make these types of commitments.

Thank you for saving me the time for stating this obvious fact.

Also, I played for Coach Greene, my dad and him are friends. He's a great guy, tremendously nice and down to earth. He just could never win in the playoffs, his vere and wing-t offenses were good when they had the athletes to play the spots, but in recent years, the number of players and athletes has dropped off. One thing I can tell all you, his teams were never scared of anyone or anything. Don Shows (West Monroe head coach) said that Airline always played them the toughest and that he hated playing us.

This exactly. Also, I am surprised a lot by this, the principal was an assistant under Greene when he replaced Dupree. And Airline's booster club is not the type to pressure for a coach to be fired...just very strange to me, something had to be behind it other than the normal.

Bossier School Board has too many asses on it. They will never change that rule, regardless of how long it's been since a Bossier Parish football team has won a state title.

No, nothing was behind it. They just got tired of going to the playoffs just to lose in the first round.

David Feaster's a heck of a coach. He's done well wherever he's been in Louisiana. The Sabine thing in Tex. didn't work out too well, but aside from that he's done super jobs at all of his stops. His brother coached at Airline back in the day. It'll be interesting to see what happens with this opening.

They practically played WM every year in the first round, it's not exactly something very many schools come out on the positive end. You play the hand you're dealt and in this case, Airline is most always gonna come out on the bottom unless like someone else said, they ante up and start doing the things that a WM or an Evangel do to get up to speed. Greene did what he could with the pieces he had.

I think Actually needs to be the head coach at Airline. He could get it done!

hard to compare what a private school like Evangel can do to a school like Airline. It seems to me that Airline's problem, compared to West Monroe, is they have Benton and Bossier nearby getting the rural, blue collar and inner-city kids. But then again, I've been gone from Bossier for a long time.

It's hard to argue with that!

On a more serious note, PA Flash - Do you call out "Actually" as you orgasm? You seem to have quite the crush in me.

No they didn't, they never played them in the first or the second round. I think the only time they played them was in 2004 when Airline should've won the game except both times we played them that year the kicker missed a lot of kicks. I think the score during the regular season was something like 13-10 and something like 14-12 or 14-10 in the playoffs. Regardless, I think the kicker missed a combined total of 6 field goals in both games.

I played for Greene at Loyola in mid 90s. He was a great coach. We didn't have much of an innovative offense, but he got everything he could out of the players - always undersized yet found ways to win.

SlowFlowPro is the same way but if he's a coach then consider me Miles Davis
