Someone needs to work with the receivers and their route trees. Yeah Max has some issues, but he has to wait for his receivers to get even slightly open.
The bigger problem is line development because LSU is very 1 dimensional. Everyone knows we are gonna throw and to whom....either Bech or Jenkins. I think TDP could be a good back but he needs a little more competent blocking... a lot more,really.

By "too volatile" do you mean personally in controlling emotions or team performance? I don't know much about him other than he was hot commodity a year or so ago, played the position, is young and relates to current generation of players well and his teams play hard. Probably not big fish material but seems to me to have proven himself at tough place to win.

The only thing stopping LSU from becoming the next great dynasty is consistent elite production from the QB position.
