WWL has some seriously crappy reporting.
The commentator guy they had on around 5:30 PM talking about the rumors was an absolute idiot.
Not only did he start by saying Les was the OBVIOUS choice because Michigan hadn't interviewed anyone (a lie, both coordinators have interviewed, even if it is just a courtesy interview) but then he went on to say that Pelini was the obvious choice at Nebraska because their head coaching search stopped with him (a lie, Jim Grobe interviewed two days ago for that job...and he actually HAS HC experience beyond a weeks worth)
Also, the guy went on to say that the top candidates were Bo and Gill and that perhaps there was a "package" deal where Bo is the new HC and Gill would come in to be the Offensive Coordinator !!!
SO A NFL HEAD COACH IS GOING TO LEAVE AN NFL TEAM TO GO AND BE THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR UNDER A COACH WHO HAS NEVER BEEN A HEAD COACH FOR LONGER THAN A WEEK????
Plus, the new rumors abound that Tom Osborne wasn't that impressed with Pelini. Just like no one else was that impressed with Pelini when he interviewed the past few years. He couldn't get the Minnesota job last year...and now he's going to be HC at Nebraska??? The guys a GREAT DC...but honestly, he didn't get passed up this many times because he smelled funny or something!

To me, that is not even really a conspiracy theory. If he were to stay I would expect that to happen.
I don't know if there is any validity to this press conference talk or not, but I don't expect UM to embarrass one of their own at least publicly anyway. If Miles stays, it would be done in a way to not make Miles look like a fool and Miles saying he was staying this week would do just that, at least publicly. It would let Michigan go about their business without humiliating one of their own.

They just said that the school had been contacted about speaking to him, not that Miles had been contacted directly.
