Im not saying Vol is correct, but what if a new coach HAS interviewed them? What if a new coach has faced them on a NO recruit and lost out to them? What if one of the retained coaches is Joseph and a new coach has seen the last several LSU wrs ball out in the NFL?
Just a couple of what ifs.

After the February signing date all this could change. LSU could keep all of them- they are under contract but it doesn’t mean they would be on field coaches. Who may or not be staying at this point means nothing.

The staff has been informed of who is staying and leaving…
So SW has narrowed it down to 3: a) Bob Stoops would be the only coach studying the staff as to who should go/stay. Any other active coach might get busted with LSU staff info. b) Aranda would be familiar with the 3 of the coaches remaining from 2019, so it could be him. c) Jimbo and SW have a long relationship, and he could make staff decisions without tipping his hand, because it all goes thru Scott
Leaving
Peetz, Mangas, Jones, Baker, Davis, McMahon, Ponamsky, most analysts
Staying for now for recruiting
Raymond, Joseph, Faulk
Bubble
Carter?

I think you have it pinned down pretty good.

Maybe he has or has previous coaching experience with them.
Makes me wonder if the guy is Aranda. He would no doubt be familiar enough to know who he wants on his staff.

At this point, I'd be happy with any of Stoops, Jimbo, and Aranda. All three could win consistently at LSU. If its Stoops, I'm just hoping its not S. Carolina Spurrier.

Wouldn't Chris Petersen fall into this bucket? Has he been ruled out?

Nothing has been ruled out. However, Petersen burned out prior to the 2020 season. He might be ready to come back, who knows. But Stoops seems ready. He coached last year at the semi-pro level. Plus, all the chatter about Riley might have been the diversion to go after Stoops instead.
Petersen could still be on the table. Just seems less likely than Stoops, is my guess.

t’s a joke. No coach worth his salt is going to retain any assistant coach without interviewing them. Only a dumbass like O would do something like that
...or maybe the new coach already had conversations with said coaches? Any head coach worth a salt knows Raymond, Joseph and Faulk/ what they have produced. You have to keep some continuity with staff, especially if they are top tier like Raymond.

Why would anybody give Davis security? The OL has been a complete train wreck for a majority of the season.

Hey watch your tone, Jack, that’s a well oiled machine you’re talking about.

Because he's a good OL coach and was handed a shite show a few weeks before the season started. You can't pin that on his shoulders entirely. Looking at his coaching history he's actually not a bad OL coach at all and pretty good recruiter. I don't think they should fire him either unless the new HC doesn't want him for whatever reasons. He should at least interview him.
If you're going to shite on a coach who basically had a few weeks to coach this shite show at OL then why does Raymond continue to get a pass when his secondary struggles? He also hasn't been recruiting on the level he did in the past. Not quite at least. Davis isn't some miracle worker. Cregg and O fricked the Oline up badly between their evaluations and personnel management. They also look horribly conditioned.

Aranda is not a woody type hire at all. But I think I might like him best out of those options.

Yikes..starting to hear some smoke today from my family in Texas and Oklahoma that its Jimbo. Took a swing at Riley but he decided to stay in Norman.
