If Lane does indeed don the purple and gold next season, way back when, his first QB as a head coach (with the Raiders) was none other than LSU's Jamarcus Russell. The word is he wanted no part of JR, but Al Davis got his way and drafted him 1st overall. We all know the rest of the story.

The crazy part of that story is they gave him a CD of all the plays but left it blank intentionally to see if he would watch it. Came to practice and told them he watched it and he the knew the plays. They knew they were fricked.

Well considering CDs do not have video only audio where as DVDs do that would have been an epic fail!

CD-ROMs had video. Heck, that’s how almost all games and software came back then.
