Thanks for the spoilers.

So after dragging arse for all of these past weeks, they're going to cram all of all out war into two episodes?

I thought for sure the cliff hanger would be the war beginning. I had basically given up on this season and figured it was all set up.

So stupid.

Well it looks like the actual war will be crammed into the final episode

This looks to me like just the start of the war.

And now we hardly ever talk about the comics.

Really big happenings in the most recent issue.

If I wanted to start reading the comics, after having watched the show to the current point, what issue should I start with?

Number 1. The show and comics hit on a lot of the same points, but there are also many differences. Some people are dead in the comics that are alive on the show, and vice versa. Rick has a different romantic interest in the comics. And so on ...

To just pic up with the issue where the show is currently would likely be a bit confusing.

You could read every comic up till now in a weekend, maybe 2. They have all been uploaded online.

read comics dot tv

Be prepared to hate the show's interpretation of Andrea.

You'll never be able to watch season 3 again, but the rest has been mostly decent and up to par with the comics.

The two are not even close to exactly the same, but major events are similar. It's a great series to read though. I'd love to hear your take on it when you're through.

I stopped reading after the Whisperers. Lost interest after that.

Wasn't that just like 2-3 issues ago?

I'm thru 14 issues now and it's definitely different.
The crew is at the prison now and man it's moving right along. It's going a lot quicker than I thought it would but I like the pace. There are definitely some major differences in characters, some I kind of like better on screen, but most of the time I prefer the comic representation of the character better.

Just read 165. I really like the Negan/Rick bromance. If the comics killed everybody and just followed those two I wouldn't be disappointed.

The Saviors better have a quick resolution because I'm not interested in them becoming the bad guys again.

That bite at the end tho.

It's gotten pretty decent the last few issues. I'm hoping we don't end up with years of wondering around aimlessly after it ends though.
