Anyone here have a favorite work by Joyce. I haven’t even glanced at anything by Joyce
In years, but I have a hankering to go back and fill in some blanks.

Have not read his novels, but I love Araby. Like it better than the Dead, which is brilliant.

I loved Portrait of the Artist when I was younger. Haven’t read it in years. Probably should soon. Also used to enjoy the Dunliners collection.

Never made it through Ulysses or Finnegan’s Wake.

Took me awhile to get through
Finnegans Wake but I found it to be enhanced in enjoyment by reading
A Skeleton Key to Finnegans Wake by Joseph Campbell along with it. Don’t think I’d gotten as much from it without that.

Ulysses was good only after I finished. I didn’t enjoy it while reading it. I think it’s one of those that’s probably better when taken in the context of the time.
