Jo Nesbo's 'The Snowman' was really creepy.

Im assuming you've read Salem’s Lot. If not, get it, stat.
If you have a Kindle app, id recommend a vampire novel from Robert McCammon called They Thirst. I specify Kindle because he let it go out print for awhile, and physical copies are now scarce and expensive. Kindle version is a reasonable 12 bucks though.

I loved Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge, which is kind of like a cross between The Purge and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
To me, it seems like the perfect fall horror book: season and ambiance are a big part of the book (the bad guy is called October Boy), and the author works hard to pull you into both.
(It's better as a pre-halloween read but whaddya gonna do?)

The Relic by Douglas Preston. Seriously creepy with a hell of a twist at the end.

Clive Barker’s Books of Blood.

Recently read Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons, pretty great read.
The Terror is an incredible one as well, was my first introduction to horror novels
Hyperion isn't so much horror but an amazing series in its own right

If you haven't read Stephen King's Dark Tower Series yet you're really missing out l. Some of his best work.

You beat me to it.
And the movie was surprisingly well done as well.

Half way through. Long but good.
Starts off fast as well.
Not a slog to get to good stuff.
Will watch TV show afterwards.

Finished. This was good. Long but always moving. Didn’t feel like a trudge to get through.

I really like Ronald Malfi’s writing style. I’d highly recommend “Black Mouth” by him, enjoyed that one a lot!
