I do. Just going by what I read.

Plus his storyline isn't resolved. The Melisandre chapter made it completely obvious to me that Jon is going to be Azor Ahai/Prince that was Promised; plus she sees him in her flames as a man, then a wolf, then a man again. Martin has made us think so many characters are dead when they're not: Davos, Brienne, Arya, Catelyn, Sandor...the list goes on. Martin has basically all but confirmed that Jon isn't dead.

As much as GRRM will say a character can die at any moment, Jon is clearly an endgame character, and quite possibly is THE end game character over all others. If Jon is dead for good, then basically he was just a waste of time. The Realm at large has yet to even remotely appreciate his accomplishments, and has minimally affected the plot to the South at this point. Jon has a much larger purpose than being murdered by his own men.

Then you know that dead characters never die in their own POV.

Well, she kept asking for Azor Ahai, and all she would see is Snow. That's because Jon Snow is Azor Ahai reborn. She will realize this.

About as silver blond as naturally can be and dark blue eyes. It was weird to see a Dany lookalike in modern clothing.

So by your logic, if ASOS ended with Arya's axe to the head then she would also be permanently dead also...

Or Tyrion drowning in the river.

Am I the only one that thinks that Westeros is lost and the series will end with ships landing in essos, sothyros, and the shadowlands?

Exactly. Mel may misinterpret the visions but they do come true. The girl on the horse wasn't Arya, but Alys Karstark. If the flames are showing her Snow, then it's Jon Snow, rather than Stannis.

Eh he has is opinion. There's some people on Westeros that feel the same way.

Very much so. I expect one of the first chapters in TWoW to be Melissandre's POV rushing to Snow with Ghost in tow fending off anyone who might try and stop her.

I post on that forum and while there's a lot of good book discussion that I enjoy participating in, they seem to hate on not just Hodors but on book fans who love the show. Some of the posters there that are snobs brag about how they've been reading the books since the 90s and know GRRM personally. I prefer discussing it on here because 99% of the ASOIAF book fans who watch the TV show are rational, call out GRRM for what he is, and acknowledge that the TV show is one of the best on TV right now. The ASOIAF Forum fans would make you think that watching the HBO version is like watching Duck Dynasty or Honey Boo Boo and that if any minute detail from the books is changed for the show that it's therefore terrible/inferior.

Yeah, I got banned there for a month once for calling him "Lord Too-Fat-To-Write-A-Book". Bunch of arse kissers over there.

While she'd easily add him to her list if she knew 1/10 of what he's done to her family, I really don't see that. There's just too much built up between Littlefinger and Sansa for it to not be her.
