Of topic, but does anyone else feel like Lord Manderly killed the three Freys and served them in the pies at the wedding like the Rat Cook?

Most definitely. Wyman served 3 pies for the 3 Freys. He personally cuts the pies for the Bolton and Frey men. He then asks Abel to play the Rat Cook as you mentioned.

I don't think this is necessarily the case. I think there was some time that passed by before she died. Ned's memories fit perfectly with someone that is hiding a huge secret. Even in his thoughts there is little information from his memory of the Tower of Joy. If he had to hide this from the entire realm, including the people he loved, he would likely have to train his mind to think of only the events he could mention. Thus you get a recollection of events that seem like they are all happening in quick secession.

And yes this definitely went down. It's one of my favorite realizations. I hate the Frey's so very very much.

But again, Targs were insular. So to answer Josh's post, i don't think the Starks got their warging gift from the Targs. Either they inherited it from the First Men or from the CotF through some interbreeding. There were plenty of stories of magic in the Stark bloodline prior to the Targs

How the hell did I miss that???? I love Manderly, and the only thing I remember from that scene is being pissed because I thought they killed him.
The last we hear of him his throat was slit and he's flopping around on the floor in a growing pool of his own blood

I don't agree with his point I was just answering his question.
The Starks very rarely had southron ambitions other than Rickard so I don't even know that the targs and Starks had relations until rhaegar and lyanna.
I mean the Starks are descended from Bran the fricking builder they have plenty of magic in their blood line

O no I know that. I was answering his question too, just piggy backing off your answer. I was just saying: Yeah the Targs have been around a while, but in don't think they are responsible for the Starks' warging or magic.

It's just a crackpot theory, nobody knows at this point. But where are all the stories of magic in the Stark family? And that Bran the Builder built the Wall with magic? I can't find anything from google and Wiki oIaF says he built it with the help of giants. That's all just stories also. I'm basing what I said earlier on the fact that little is known of earlier Starks. There are lots of unknowns in their genealogy and it only goes back 5 generations according to wiki.

It's very subtle. It's basically the way Manderly is serving everyone all the pies, but mostly it's Manderly asking them to play the rat cook song that seals the deal.
And that part has been confirmed by Martin's publishers after the book came out.

The wall is warded against others and wights they cannot cross. The wall has to fall in order for them to break though. Look at cold hands for example. That doesn't come from normal means. They are descended from the first men, more so than any other family in westeros, of course they have a background for magic.
Not real sure what you mean with the giants comment.

When Winter comes, Starks rise from the crypt room to beat back White Walkers. There must be a Stark in Winterfell for this reason. People assumed when Ned died he would never be able to tell John about his mom the next time he saw him. John will have that conversation with Ned in the Winterfell crypt along with Lyanna.
