They're great books to read on vacation, especially if you're in Florida history. Don't require too much brainpower, short chapters, conducive to being drunk ... I've read 12 or 15 of his books and enjoyed them all. They are more appealing if you have a sick sense of humor. I have friends who don't like Dorsey's books at all.

I am a big fan. Audio versions are great for road trips.

I have read a couple because he’s an Auburn grad. I’m not really into the Florida stuff so I stopped.

More like Hiassen on Acid. Gotta hand in to Tim for pure volume, but Serge is just a little too twisted for my taste.
I only wish the Randy Wayne White’s Doc Ford books had a little more of the Dorsey/Hiassen humor though.
