Peyton Manning Makes A Decision On Joining ESPN's Monday Night Football
© Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports
Another opportunity to join ESPN's Monday Night Football has come and gone for Peyton Manning. The future Hall of Famer is passing on the gig again to focus on other projects...

quote:

During their last round of talks, Manning passed on joining Joe Tessitore, Booger McFarland and Lisa Salters in the “Monday Night Football” booth. Instead, the two-time Super Bowl champion opted to host ESPN’s new five-part, 30-episode series, “Peyton’s Places,” debuting on ESPN+ in July.

The 43-year-old’s decision to say no to “Monday Night Football” ends years of back and forth between Manning, who retired from the NFL in 2016, and ESPN management led, by president Jimmy Pitaro.

Then who is going to wear the Witten wig?! (MNF would be worth watching if someone new each week wore that monstrosity.)

Dude is having so much fun in retirement... he can do absolutely nothing but hang with his family and fish whenever and wherever he wants. In that scenario, were I to be so fortuitous, I would never "work" another fricking day in my life. Peyton is a class act not unlike Favre and Brees, and deserves to live life on his own schedule now.
