Former Atlanta Falcons pass rusher John Abraham told "The Water Boyz Show" that during a game in 2012, a Tampa Bay Buccaneers player informed him that their coaching staff told their players to injure the opponent. He claims that Bucs tackle Donald Penn gave him the warning on the field...
quote:

"[Penn] was like, ‘Hey man, be careful out here. The coaches told us to hurt you all,’” Abraham said, according to JoeBucsFan.com. “I was like, ‘Stop playing.’ He’s like, ‘Nah, they told us to hurt y’all. So we’re going to be going extra. After the whistle, we’re going to be doing everything to try to mess with y’all.’”

Penn, meanwhile, has reportedly denied saying that, according to JoeBucsFan.com.

Football has changed a lot. If a QB was getting hot, solution was hit him harder. Knock him out. You’d go to jail having that mindset now.

Damn...they gonna do to the Bucs like they did to the Saints now? NFL doesn't have a statute of limitations that I know of.
