Jayboy504 You’re right, a veteran did suggest it. There’s also just as many, if not more, veterans that are against kneeling...including POC. Dispute that! It shows that people Are individuals and have different opinions how to go about change. Brees never said he was against the WHY or someone’s right to do so, he’s actually talked about his support behind his teammates to do so. People who don’t understand or comprehend that are Too simple minded. One can stand bc of their WHY and fully support the one that kneels bc of their WHY. If your outraged bc someone doesn’t stand or does stand, you are part of the problem.

He doesn’t need to kneel or agree to kneel to support your cause/Why of you kneeling. He has a cause/Why of why he stands, as do I. Doesn’t mean he or I are against you. Actually support your Why abd right to do so...stop being simple minded.

If Drew Brees' comment is "picking a side" then my side is next to Drew. If Thomas, Kamara and Louis believe insulting our military by kneeling during the National Anthem is going to bring about social change they are too stupid to listen to. Trade them!

And you’re about just as dumb as Drew Brees is... Insulting our military?? This viewpoint is essentially racist white people’s way of hiding behind their true colors... Again I’ll sit this right here... Where did Kap get the idea of kneeling from??? A FUKIN VETERAN... Now someone please dispute that...

Jayboy, your arguments are weak. Believing you stand for the anthem is now white racist ideology is that correct? What about the black people and Asian people and Hispanic who believe that too? Are they also whites racists?

Thomas is a racist and dumb as a football. Drew has done more for NOLA than anyone in my lifetime. He has a right to disagree with kneeling for the flag.

"Another former teammate responds as well.” Are you fricking high? Thomas is a POS for what he did. Drew said nothing racist and in fact took up for the black community.

Silence is murder? No, shooting each other in the hood and overlooking it until a white cop does it is murder.

Thomas has always been an ignorant person. Better thank God for his athletic ability, because he isn't smart enough to eat without it.

I really don’t understand why Drew is taking such heat for this. - What happened with George Floyd is an absolute horrific tragedy and justice must be served - Protesters who turn to looting and violence are WRONG - You may disagree with it but Kaepernick kneeling for the anthem is his right to do. - Similarly, Drew Brees talking about what the anthem means to HIM and answering the question for a very personal standpoint...he has the right to do that too. All these things can be true. He’s not saying that Kap shouldn’t or shouldn’t be allowed to kneel if he chooses to...he’s simply saying he disagrees with it and gave a very valid reason why. Last I checked, this is America and we SHOULD be allowed to express our opinion. All these athletes jumping on him makes no sense.

It’s a hoot to hear about oppression from million dollar athletes who tweet on thousand dollar phones while lounging in million dollar mansions. Yeah Thomas, you are really oppressed.
