Kicker Tyler Knighton, of Division III's Rowan University, muffed his extra-point attempt against Christopher Newport University pretty bad. But he didn't give up on the play. Once he lined the kick into the back of his linemen, he picked it up and was carried into the end zone by his teammates...

"D3 schools don't paint or chalk ?"

In the wider shots, you can see the lines. It looks like it was raining and the field turned to mud toward the center. They do paint/chalk, but they don't have the money to keep their field at D1 quality.

I've always thought this is absurd. I think the rule should be once the ball is kicked, possession changes and the kicking team can't advance the ball. Much like a punt.
