On Monday, College Football Playoff executive director Bill Hancock revealed the trophy that the winner of the new playoff tournament will walk away with. It's over 2-feet-high, weighs 35 pounds, made from 24-karat gold, bronze and stainless steel, the bottom of it is shaped like a football and rises to form an actual-sized ball at the top.

The BCS trophy needed no explanation. You see that puppy a 100 years from now and you know it was for something great. This thing may need a talking kiosk next to it to explain what it was for. At first glance I see the Harb's Oasis Tulip Bowl Trophy.

I am more partial to the Coach's trophy they handed out for the BCS. It was powerful.
