On Sunday, Notre Dame dismissed senior safety Max Redfield for getting arrested with possession of an unregistered handgun and marijuana, they also indefinitely suspended senior Devin Butler for getting arrested for battery to law enforcement and resisting law enforcement. Here was head coach Brian Kelly's actual statement, including punishments...

Colin Cowherd shared his thoughts on the situation, saying he thinks the punishments are similar to when Alabama has player issues. Meaning the suspensions are designed around when they don't need those players...

1) The AC comment about his players didn't come from Saban, it came from the DA who didn't prosecute. Unsure how this is now Saban's fault. 2) I'm bored from fans wanting players immediately kicked off teams for a single poor choice. If there was a pattern of bad behavior, sure, but in the 2 kids instance from Bama, it was their 1st incident. Should we all get the most extremem punishment on our 1st offense? If so, I'd have been in serious trouble in college. So would most of you.

More important not to actually punish the criminals that play football, that way they can have the chance to become the next Lawrence Phillips...

Notre Dame kicks the guys off. Saban does nothing. Saban's guys don't have air conditioning, though. . .
