Check Out Tim Tebow Hitting The Batting Cages
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
Yesterday I told you Tim Tebow wants to now play Major League Baseball and is reaching out to teams this month. He last played in high school, and played well, but that's high school. But judge for yourself. Here he is hitting the batting cage on Tuesday morning...

Astros already thinking about calling him up. Hope this doesn't effect Breggs status

Tebow should be playing in Canadian League trying to get back to NFL. People will say "it's great" but baseball is a waste of time if serious about playing in NFL. Tims just a confused individual both athletically and sexually. Down Vote Me

All I know is that if he makes a team everyone's girlfriend is safe. Dustin pedroia's boyfriend on the other hand...

How is he gonna play this year in the minors if he has a try out Aug 30? The season is already over

I do look forward to seeing a collision at the plate!

That's just sad. He'll never make it to the MLB.

Guy is a great athlete and he will get a minor league deal just because he's Tim Tebow. That said, it's hard enough for guys who dedicate their entire lives to the sport to make it to the show, so I highly doubt he ever gets there. I'll be rooting for him though.

Wow! Hitting in a cage means jack shite. Show me film of him hitting against a reasonable pitcher and having to go after a slider, an inside curve, a high corner fastball and a change-up at league speeds. I like Tebow, but let's keep it real here.

I mean, that's not a bad swing.

My golf swing isn't bad. Maybe I should get on the PGA Tour.

He's got good hip rotation, his back knee is driving forward, his front knee doesn't seem to leak, no obvious bat lag, good timing on his roll, solid follow through. The only obvious swing issue is his weight staying back leg a little long. He will just need to gain pitch recognition and that's going to take thousands of reps from quality pitching. Not sure he's going to get that unless he hires former minor and major leaguers to work with him.

I think he knows deep down that he won't make it. But he also knows that this coverage will bolster his "good guy who doesn't give up" image, maintaining his marketability for the foreseeable future. No lose situation.

I think he knows deep down that he is going to make it. He just may not be correct.

Seems to have good bat speed. He may get a single A contract simply because he is Tim Teebow.

"Now batting left fielder for the Montgomery Biscuits...Tim Tebow." If I were ESPN I'd fire his ass. He apparently wants to do everything, but work for the SEC Network.
