Base running win. Catcher interference fail.

It is a catcher's job to block the plate when a runner is coming in. His mistake was being passive instead of attacking the runner by putting the catcher's mitt in the runner's face.

The catcher just stood there and allowed the runner to knock him down. I caught in high school also and I learned how to handle base runners who tried to run over me. I put the ball in the glove and held the glove in both hands. When the runner got close enough, I thrust the glove in the runner's face. That stopped the runner's forward charge and he usually crumbled at my feet. A catcher cannot stand there and allow a runner to bowl him over.
