Report: Missouri WR Theo Wease Jr. Was Arrested Tuesday

Missouri wide receiver and team captain Theo Wease Jr. was arrested on Tuesday for failing to appear in court. Per SI.com:

Wease was arrested Tuesday at 12:57 p.m. and released after paying a $10 bond. According to the Missouri Courts, Wease had a court date set for May 15, 2024 after he was issued a ticket on Feb. 9, 2024 at 11:01 a.m. in Lexington, Missouri, for failure to wear a selt belt.

Wease is entering his second season with Missouri after transferring from Oklahoma ahead of the 2023 season. Wease, one of Missouri's five team captains, was originally scheduled to speak to the media Tuesday afternoon shortly before his arrest but missed due to what a team spokesperson initially called a scheduling conflict.

Wease Jr. had 49 receptions for 682 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Seat belt laws are just an excuse to let cops pull you over and see what you got...and to see if they might want it (civil asset forfeiture). Policing for profit.
