After a successful week long quarantine process, LSU officially introduced Mike VII on Monday morning.

The 11-month-old, Siberian-Bengal, male tiger formerly known as “Harvey,” arrived on campus last week. He was out in his new updated habitat Monday morning for the first day of the fall semester. Per LSUSports.net:
quote:

The tiger acclimated well to his new surroundings and was deemed ready to become Mike VII. As Mike VII, his daily schedule is that he will be let out into his yard by 8 a.m. each day and brought back in his night house by 8 p.m. each day.

"He's officially Mike the Tiger," Dr. Baker told LSUsports.net just before 7:30 a.m. CT Monday morning.

LSU plans to hold a welcome event for Mike VII and more details on the time and activities associated with the welcome will be available soon.

PETA is comprised of irrational radicals who lose sight of the fact that Mike the Tiger gets more exposure than any other Tiger in the world, and instead of fighting it, they could team up with LSU to denounce breeders, promote rescuing, and vie for tigers worldwide, but alas, they are just too damn radical for good sense reasoning, which is in turn why nobody can take them seriously.

PETA euthanized 2,500 animals in their shelters in 2014. So obviously a semi-endangered species getting round the clock, state of the art veterinary attention and a massive, larger than a zoo enclosure is intolerable. They just want to kill a tiger.

Okay. You know what you do? Buy yourself a tape recorder. Record yourself for a whole day. I think you're gonna be surprised at some of your phrasing.
