LSU athletic director Joe Alleva had his proposed three-year extension approved by the Board of Supervisors on Friday morning. Per Nola.com:
quote:

The extension comes without a raise for Alleva, who has been LSU's AD since 2008 and will keep him under contract through 2019. Alleva makes $725,000 a year with incentives that can increase it to $900,000.

"My wife and I love it here," Alleva, 61, said afterward. "The only thing that would make me leave is if I stop liking my job. I like my job. It's challenging. I like the people I work for. I'm honored and pleased to have that extension and to be here at least another five years."
Here is a brief video of Alleva discussing the extension on Friday:

Thanks for all the downvotes, guys. Can any of you actually give any examples of things he's done that make him a bad AD?

TIA.

I don't think he's been all that bad. Not great either but serviceable.
