Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry Comments On The NCAA Eligibility Chaos

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry weighed in Wednesday on the ongoing eligibility battle involving LSU, the SEC, and former professional players attempting to return to college sports.

Landry defended the players and criticized the SEC's handling of the situation, saying the conference is now "creating a legal mess" after athletes were previously told they had exhausted their college eligibility.

"This whole thing is ridiculous. Don't hate the player, hate the game," Landry told Front Office Sports.

A player that wasn’t drafted and didn’t sign a contract and didn’t go to training camp is ineligible according to Stankey and that’s another dimension that moron is fricking up on. YET there are 23 other former pro athletes from other leagues bigger than the CBA and WNBA playing in the SEC.. go figure that shite out

Think it's pretty safe to say that if players that declared eligible for the draft, are drafted, and then want to go back to play at college level......that it wouldn't fix a damn thing. Only 1% can compete in the NFL. Sorry if you're a 5%er.....
