The decision on who will start at inside linebacker and cornerback for LSU's home opener vs. Chattanooga has not been made yet and Ed Orgeron is leaving that decision up to defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.

True freshman inside linebacker Tyler Taylor replaced Donnie Alexander last Saturday and redshirt freshman cornerback Greedy Williams replaced Kevin Toliver, as Alexander and Toliver did not make the trip for the season opener.

Both Alexander and Toliver are available to play this Saturday vs. Chattanooga.

If he ever does want to be HC I hope it's here. Aranda is amazing!

Start Donnie and Kevin, they are our vets and getting ready for the next level. Bring our young guys off the bench with exclusive playing time. Its almost their time to shine also.

Tyler Taylor is not far from being real real real good.

Let's start Toliver and Greedy since Donte sucks as a CB. Put him on offense running those jet sweeps. That would at least use his speed for something else than running down receivers that beat him

You start the best players period. I would let Tolliver and Alexander play and who ever plays best but also can follow the rules from here on, would be starting. You don't punish a guy that's messed up because you wouldn't have anyone starting then. Everyone messes up but if it's a continued thing then yes, I'm playing the better most consistent player.

The best thing is Coach O is letting Aranda decide who starts and who plays. After all, it's his defense and no one knows it better than him. The old Coach O would never have relinquished control, nor would Miles. Canada should be given the same freedom in regards to personnel on the offensive side of things. I am absolutely excited with the way O is running things so far and I think it's a wise move to keep the two best coordinators in college football happy!

Play them all. LSU's always been able to empty its bench. P. Dietzel & HC Mac. Team morale matters.

Start. Not play. Start. You can only have 11 guys on the field for the first play, and a start is a thing.

Start the guys who can stay out of trouble. Let Donnie and Toliver come off the bench
