by TD Staff ReporterSeptember 24, 2019

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
There is still plenty of football to be played this season but seven out of twelve ESPN writers included LSU in their College Football Playoff picks after Week 4 with Sam Khan Jr. picking the Tigers as a No. 1 seed.

I like Sam Khan. He has 3 SEC teams in and none are Alabama. Not sure how that happens, other than both LSU and Auburn beat Alabama. LSU beats Auburn, Auburn beats Georgia, and Georgia beats LSU in the SECCG. Still seems unlikely unless all the other conferences and ND implode.

its not an end of season prediction. Its a "if the playoffs started today, who are your 4 in?"

How is that possible if we beat Bama and Aubie. we will have to play Georgia while Bama sits out but gets in. I hope Aubie beats Bama also.

It clearly states this. This is their projections if the season ended today

He is respecting the teams that have played someone decent, all 4 of Sam's top 4 have a good win on their schedule. Cant say that about the team he omitted.

Well, they did until UGA beat ND. I think ND might actually be a real team this year rather than just a media darling. Congrats to UGA. But, then again, Texas is pretty durned good too.
Maybe we just need to let it settle itself out in the SECCG. (Geaux Tigahs!)
