Mike Golic: 'Are We Ripping Lane Because It's Lane Kiffin?'

Mike Golic weighed in on the criticism surrounding LSU head coach Lane Kiffin and the Tigers' ongoing eligibility battle during his radio show this week.

Golic questioned whether some of the backlash has more to do with Kiffin himself than the actual situation, asking, "Are we ripping Lane because it's Lane Kiffin?"

Exactly. Just like the clip of Saban on why he doesn't kick players off of the team. He makes it seem like other coaches are the bad guys for not giving a player a 2nd, 3rd or 4th chance.

Mike and Mike in the morning was my absolute favorite sports talk show. A shame it’s been off for a while.

More and more national guys are starting to push back against the narrative. The butthurt ADs are clearly pushing a biased and incomplete narrative to exclude major context in the players' favor.
